Programme Concept
The EFIACH Women's Cultural Café is a high-level institutional exchange space. It brings together, twice a year, selected women from arts, culture, heritage, universities and research, diplomacy and international relations, museums and cultural institutions, creative industries, cultural leadership, innovation and relevant institutional and professional sectors. Special or exceptional editions may be organised when an important cultural occasion, international event, institutional opportunity or relevant theme justifies it. Any additional or exceptional edition is officially announced by EFIACH on the website.

Each edition of the EFIACH Women's Cultural Café is presided over by the EFIACH representative, who opens and closes the gathering, ensures the institutional framework of the event, and embodies the values and mission of EFIACH throughout the programme.

Ensures the institutional framework and EFIACH values throughout the programme
Introduces the Guest Conversation Leader and the edition's theme
Represents EFIACH's institutional presence and diplomatic standing
Facilitates connections between participants and EFIACH's broader network
The EFIACH representative for each edition is designated by EFIACH's institutional leadership. The representative's identity is announced with the official edition announcement.

Guest Conversation Leader
Each edition of the EFIACH Women's Cultural Café features a Guest Conversation Leader — a distinguished woman selected by EFIACH for her expertise, cultural standing and ability to lead a meaningful, high-level conversation on the edition's theme.
Role of the Guest Conversation Leader
- Leads the main conversation of the edition around the announced theme
- Brings her personal expertise, cultural perspective and professional experience to the gathering
- Facilitates open, substantive exchange among participants
- Contributes to the intellectual and cultural depth of the programme
Selection by EFIACH
The Guest Conversation Leader is selected exclusively by EFIACH based on the edition's theme, the institutional context and the profile of invited participants. EFIACH retains full authority over the selection. The Guest Conversation Leader's identity is announced with the official edition announcement.

Women who wish to be considered as a Guest Conversation Leader for a future edition may submit an expression of interest. Submitting an expression of interest does not guarantee selection. EFIACH reviews all expressions of interest and may contact candidates when a relevant edition is being prepared.
